Compared with other traditional raw materials, special attention should be paid to the design of raw material parts of plastic molds.

The characteristics of plastic molds can vary greatly in a wide range. Their properties will be greatly changed by adding fillers, reinforcing materials and modifiers.

Sometimes, under the same operating conditions, the behavior of plastic molds will be different from that of metals. Therefore, if it is used in the plastic mold in a hurry, the economical casting metal function design will easily fail.

When the service temperature of the material is close to its melting point, the temperature and time will directly affect the deformation properties of the raw material.

Plastic mold is not only characterized by the nature of pure raw materials. If the raw materials are processed in an inapplicable range, the design will fail. Similarly, products cannot solve design defects through processing. Therefore, only by optimizing the process considering all factors can the quality of plastic mold parts be guaranteed.

Welding technology of plastic mould

The common welding methods of plastic mold engineering parts are: high temperature tool welding, rotary welding, vibration welding, ultrasonic welding and other methods: high frequency welding, induction welding, hot gas welding, laser welding, etc.

In order to obtain high quality and reproducible welding quality, it is necessary to select appropriate welding methods to optimize welding parameters, and ensure that the parts to be welded are correctly designed and matched with the selected welding methods.

It is advisable to discuss with the equipment manufacturer or resin supplier before deciding on a welding method.
